How To Connect Contabo To YACSS
Contabo is a cost-effective cloud provider offering S3-compatible object storage across US and EU regions. By connecting your Contabo account to YACSS, you can store and manage files in your buckets directly from the platform.
Open Cloud Connectivity
In YACSS, navigate to Cloud Connectivity from the sidebar. Click Connect on the Contabo card to begin the setup process.
Prepare Your Inputs
You will need the following four values — we will retrieve them from the Contabo dashboard in the steps below.
- S3 Access Key — Found under Account → Security & Access
- S3 Secret Key — Found under Account → Security & Access
- Region — Either US or EU, depending on your storage location
- Tenant ID — Extracted from the public bucket URL
Open Contabo Dashboard
Go to the Contabo Dashboard and log in. In the left sidebar, navigate to Account → Security & Access. Scroll down to the S3 Object Storage Credentials section.

In the S3 Object Storage Credentials table, choose either the US or EU region row. Copy the Access Key and paste it into the S3 Access Key field in YACSS. Then reveal and copy the Secret Key and paste it into the S3 Secret Key field in YACSS.
Create a Bucket
In the left sidebar, navigate to Storage → Object Storage. Click Create bucket and give it any name you want. Once the bucket is created, open it.
Find Your Tenant ID
Inside the bucket, enable Make public. A public URL will appear in the format https://usc1.contabostorage.com/TENANT-ID/bucket-name. Copy the long alphanumeric string between .com/ and the next / — this is your Tenant ID.
Paste Into YACSS & Save
Return to YACSS. Fill in all fields — S3 Access Key, S3 Secret Key, Region, and Tenant ID — then click Save. Your Contabo connection is now active.
