How To Connect Exoscale To YACSS
Exoscale is a European cloud platform offering S3-compatible object storage and compute services. By connecting your Exoscale account to YACSS, you can store and manage files in your buckets directly from the platform.
Open Cloud Connectivity
In YACSS, navigate to Cloud Connectivity from the sidebar. Click Connect on the Exoscale card to begin the setup process.
Prepare Your Inputs
You will need the following three values — we will retrieve them from the Exoscale dashboard in the steps below.
- Name — Any label you choose to identify this connection
- Key — Generated from IAM → Keys in Exoscale
- Secret Key — Generated alongside the Key (only shown once)
Open Exoscale Dashboard
Go to the Exoscale Portal and log in. In the left sidebar, click the IAM icon, then select Roles.

Click Add to create a new role. Give it a name, enable Editable Policy, and under Role permissions check both bonus-governance-retention and reset-iam-organisation-policy. Set the Default service strategy to Allow, then click Create.
Generate an API Key
Still in the IAM tab, click Keys in the submenu, then click Add. Give the key a name and select the role you just created from the Role dropdown. Click Create.
Copy Your Credentials
After creating the key, Exoscale will display the Key and Secret. Copy both values — the Secret is only shown once and cannot be retrieved later.
Paste Into YACSS & Save
Return to YACSS. Paste the Key into the Key field and the Secret into the Secret Key field. Click Save — your Exoscale connection is now active.
