How To Connect Firebase To YACSS

Firebase is Google's app development platform offering hosting, storage, and backend services. YACSS allows you to connect your Firebase account to manage hosting and deploy your content seamlessly alongside your other workflows.

Open Service Accounts

Go to console.firebase.google.com and sign in. Select your Firebase project, then click the Settings tab, then Service accounts.

Step 1: Open Settings then Service accounts

Generate New Private Key

On the Firebase Admin SDK panel, click Generate new private key.

Confirm & Download

Confirm by clicking Generate key — a JSON file will download to your computer.

Note: Open the downloaded JSON file and copy all of its contents. You will paste this into YACSS in a later step.

Step 3: Confirm with Generate key to download the JSON file

Open Firebase in YACSS

Return to YACSS, navigate to Cloud Connectivity, and click the Connect button on the Firebase card.

Step 4: Click Connect on Firebase in YACSS

Paste Into YACSS & Save

Enter any name you like in the Name field. Paste the full contents of the downloaded JSON file into the Service Account JSON field. Click Save — your Firebase connection is now active.

Name — Any name you want to identify this connection
Service Account JSON — Full contents of the downloaded JSON key file

Step 5: Paste Service Account JSON into YACSS and save

Done! Your Firebase account is now connected to YACSS.
