How To Connect IBM To YACSS
IBM Cloud is a powerful enterprise cloud platform offering scalable object storage and infrastructure for businesses worldwide. YACSS allows you to connect your IBM Cloud account to manage cloud storage and deploy your content seamlessly alongside your other workflows.
Open Cloud Connectivity
In YACSS, navigate to Cloud Connectivity from the sidebar. Click Connect on the IBM card to begin the setup process.

Prepare Your Inputs
You will need four things: a Name (any label you choose), an Endpoint, a Key, and a Secret Key. We will retrieve all of these from the IBM Cloud dashboard in the next steps.
- Name — Any name you want to identify this connection
- Endpoint — We will find from console in next steps
- Key — We will find from console in next steps
- Secret Key — We will find from console in next steps
Open IBM Cloud Dashboard
Go to the IBM Cloud Dashboard and sign in. Open the sidebar, click Resource list, then click Create resource.

Create Object Storage
In the IBM Cloud Catalog, search for Object Storage and select it.

Open Object Storage & Create Credentials
Go back to the Resource list, expand Storage and click your Cloud Object Storage instance. Click the Service credentials tab, then click New Credential.


Configure HMAC Credentials
In the Create Credentials dialog, set the Role to Manager and turn on Include HMAC Credential. Click Add.

Copy Your Keys
Expand the credential you just created and find the cos_hmac_keys section. Copy the access_key_id (paste into the Key field in YACSS) and the secret_access_key (paste into the Secret Key field in YACSS).


Copy the Endpoint
In the left sidebar of your Cloud Object Storage instance, click Endpoints. Set resiliency to Cross Region and location to United States Geo (us-geo). Copy the us-geo public endpoint.

Paste Into YACSS & Save
Return to YACSS. Paste the endpoint into the Endpoint field, your keys into the Key and Secret Key fields, and click Save — your IBM connection is now active.
