How To Connect Neocities To YACSS
Neocities is a free web hosting platform that lets you build and publish websites with ease. By connecting your Neocities account to YACSS, you can deploy and manage your site files directly from the platform.
Open Cloud Connectivity
In YACSS, navigate to Cloud Connectivity from the sidebar. Click Connect on the Neocities card to begin the setup process.
Prepare Your Inputs
You will need the following three values — we will retrieve them from the Neocities dashboard in the steps below.
- Name — Any label you choose to identify this connection
- Website URL — Your site's URL in the format
sitename.neocities.org - API Key — Generated from your site's API settings in Neocities
Create a Neocities Site
Go to neocities.org and log in or create an account. If you don't have a site yet, create one with any name you want.

Click your profile name in the top right corner and select Settings. On the Account Settings page, find your site and click Manage Site Settings.
Generate Your API Key
Inside the Site Settings page, click the API tab. Click Generate API Key and then copy the key that appears.
Find Your Website URL
Click your profile name in the top right again and select Edit. At the top of the editor you will see your site URL in the format sitename.neocities.org. Copy this URL.
Paste Into YACSS & Save
Return to YACSS. Paste your site URL into the Website URL field and your API Key into the API Key field. Click Save — your Neocities connection is now active.
