How To Connect UpCloud To YACSS
UpCloud is a high-performance cloud provider offering S3-compatible object storage. By connecting your UpCloud account to YACSS, you can store and manage files in your object storage directly from the platform.
Open Cloud Connectivity
In YACSS, navigate to Cloud Connectivity from the sidebar. Click Connect on the UpCloud card to begin the setup process.

Prepare Your Inputs
You will need the following four values — we will retrieve them from the UpCloud dashboard in the steps below.
- Hostname — The S3 endpoint from your Object Storage overview (without https://)
- Region — The location of your Object Storage instance
- Access Key ID — Generated from the Users tab inside Object Storage
- Secret Access Key — Generated alongside the Access Key (only shown once)
Create an Object Storage
Go to the UpCloud Hub. In the left sidebar, navigate to Object Storage → Object Storage. Click Create Object Storage, configure it, and once it's running click on it to open it.

Create a User
Inside your Object Storage, click the Users tab and click + Create user. Give the user a name and create it.

Attach Policy & Create Access Key
Once the user is created, click + Policy on the user row and attach the ECSS3FullAccess policy. Then click + Access Key to generate a new access key for this user.

Copy Your Credentials
After creating the access key, UpCloud will display the Access Key and Secret Key. Copy both values and paste them into the corresponding fields in YACSS.

Find Your Region & Hostname
Click the Overview tab inside your Object Storage. Note the Location value (e.g. FI-HEL2) — select the matching region in the YACSS Region dropdown. Then scroll down, enable Public access, and copy the S3 endpoint — paste it into the YACSS Hostname field without the https:// prefix.

Paste Into YACSS & Save
Return to YACSS. Fill in all fields — Hostname, Region, Access Key ID and Secret Access Key — then click Save. Your UpCloud connection is now active.
