How To Connect YACSS To Claude With MCP

MCP is the standard way an AI assistant talks to an outside app. Connecting YACSS over MCP gives Claude a set of YACSS actions it can run for you — listing your clouds, drafting builds, publishing sites — always as you, and only what your plan allows.

Before you start:

You need a YACSS account on the Expert plan or above — the AI connector is included from Expert upward.
A Claude account that supports custom connectors (Pro, Max, Team, or Enterprise).
No API key and no token to copy. You sign in with your normal YACSS login.

Open Connectors In Claude

In Claude, click your name at the bottom-left, then Settings → Connectors.

Step 1: Click your name and select Settings

Add Custom Connector

Click Add custom connector.

Paste The Link & Add It

Fill the dialog in, then click Add.

Name — Type YACSS so it's easy to spot later
URL — Paste the connector link (https://app.yacss.site/api/v1/mcp)
Everything else — Leave blank. There is no client ID or secret to enter

Step 3: Fill in Name and URL, then click Add

Click Connect

Click Connect to begin signing in.

Sign In To YACSS & Approve

Claude opens a YACSS sign-in window. Log in with your usual YACSS email and password, then click Allow Access to let Claude act on your account.

Note: You're approving access for your own account only. You can revoke it at any time from the same MCP page in YACSS, under Connected apps.

Try It In A Chat

Start a new chat and ask something that needs your account. Claude will ask permission the first time it uses YACSS — allow it. Try this prompt: "List my YACSS cloud accounts and templates." If it comes back with your own clouds and templates, you're done. If the list is empty but there's no error, the connection is fine — you simply haven't added any cloud accounts in YACSS yet.

Note: Claude keeps this connection until you remove it — you won't need to sign in again each session.

Step 6: Test the connection with a prompt

Done! YACSS is now connected to Claude via MCP.

If Something Goes Wrong

What you see	What to do
"Requires the Expert plan or above"	The AI connector starts at the Expert plan. Upgrade under My Subscription, then try again — no need to re-add the connector.
Connector added, but Claude has no YACSS actions	Turn the connector off and on again in Settings → Connectors, then open a new chat. Claude picks up the action list when a chat starts.
New features missing after an update	Same fix — reconnect the connector and start a new chat.
Sign-in window won't finish or loops back	Allow pop-ups for Claude, and make sure you're signed in to YACSS in the same browser. Then remove the connector and add it once more.
