Mass Page Builder — News Tab
The News tab is where you configure and manage the news articles that are generated as part of your website. When you enabled Include News in the Build Settings tab, a dedicated news.html page and individual news article pages are generated. This tab controls how those articles are created, what images they include, and how they are displayed both on the news listing page and as a widget on your content pages.
News Tab Overview
The News tab is accessed from the left sidebar. At the top you choose between three generation modes — Topical Map, Prompt, and Manual — which determine how your news article titles and content are created. Below the mode selector the tab shows shared controls for CSV upload, RSS feed import, Unsplash images, news page design, and the news widget settings.

News Generation Mode
Three radio buttons at the top that determine how your news article titles and content are generated.
Manual Mode
Manual — When selected a lined textarea appears labelled News Articles Titles. You type or paste your article titles here, one per line. Each line becomes one news article page. An Import Titles From Topical Map button also appears above the textarea in case you want to pull titles from a topical map rather than typing them manually. In Manual mode titles come from you and content is generated by AI using your selected prompts.

Topical Map Mode
Topical Map — When selected controls appear for importing news titles directly from a Topical Map you have already created in the Topical Map Generator. A button labelled Import Titles From Topical Map appears, which pulls the topics from your selected topical map and uses them as the news article titles. You also select a Select Outline Prompt (optional, multi-select) and a Select Content Prompt (required, multi-select) from your saved AI prompts to control how the article content is written for each title.

Prompt Mode
Prompt — When selected three fields appear. Number of News Pages sets how many news articles will be generated. News Keyword is the topic or subject the AI uses as the basis for generating news titles. Select Title Prompt is a dropdown where you choose a saved prompt that instructs the AI how to generate the article titles. Combined with the Outline Prompt and Content Prompt selectors that also appear, this mode generates both the titles and content automatically using AI.

News Images (Topical Map and Prompt Modes)
This section appears in the AI generation modes and controls images for the news article pages. It is only available in Topical Map and Prompt modes.
Image Between Content — A checkbox that places images between the paragraphs of each article.
Image Behind Content (Parallax) — A checkbox that uses the images as a parallax scrolling background behind the article content.
Image Over Left/Right of Content — A checkbox that floats images to the side of the article content text.
Interval of Images Per Page — Two number fields, Interval Start and Interval End (maximum 5), that control how many images appear per news article page. The system picks a random count within the range for each article.
AI Image Generation — Lets you generate images for the news pages using an AI image model. Select Model lets you choose from OpenAI DALL-E or a range of Replicate models including Google Imagen 3, Flux, Stable Diffusion, Recraft, Ideogram, and Luma Photon, each with their per-image cost shown. Aspect Ratio sets the image dimensions. Keyword/Prompt is the text description or keyword the AI uses to generate the images. No of Images sets how many images to generate (maximum 5). The Generate button submits the request.
Upload News Images — A drag-and-drop file uploader where you upload your own images to use on the news article pages instead of or in addition to AI generated ones. Accepts multiple image files.

Manual News Content Entry
This section is always visible below the generation mode controls and provides two ways to populate your manual news articles with content.
CSV File Upload — A drag-and-drop uploader that accepts a .csv file. Uploading a CSV overwrites all existing news entries with the data in the file. A Download Sample Template link opens a sample CSV so you can see the required column structure before creating your own.
Import News From RSS Feed — Alternatively you can paste an RSS feed URL into the text field and set a Limit (maximum 50) for how many articles to import, then click Import. YACSS fetches the feed and imports the article titles and content from it directly into your news entries.
Insert Unsplash Images — A text field where you enter a keyword, then click Insert Unsplash Images to automatically attach relevant free stock photos from Unsplash to your news articles.
Add More (+ button) — A blue plus button at the bottom of the news entries list that adds another manual news article entry row, allowing you to build up your news article list one by one with individual title and content fields for each article.

News Page Design
Controls how the news listing page (news.html) is laid out when visitors browse all articles.
1 Column — The default. All news articles are listed in a single full-width column layout on the news listing page.

3 Columns — News articles are displayed in a three-column grid layout on the news listing page.

Include News Widget
A checkbox that enables a news widget — a compact preview of your latest news articles — to be embedded on the regular content pages of the website in addition to the dedicated news listing page.
News Widget Type — Two radio buttons that control the layout of the news widget when it appears on content pages. 1 Column displays the widget as a single column list. 4 Columns displays it as a four-column grid.
When Include News Widget is ticked the following additional controls appear to configure widget placement and quantity.
Place on Homepage — A checkbox (ticked by default) that places the news widget on the homepage.
Subpage Placement — A checkbox that places the news widget on subpages as well.
Randomization — A checkbox that randomises which news articles appear in the widget on each page rather than always showing the same set.
Start Limit Per Page / End Limit Per Page — Two number fields that control how many news articles are shown in the widget on each page. The system picks a random count between the start and end values. Both default to 3.
